Queen Bee
I can't imagine they'll mind, you'll soon be able to tell if they've used it. Some people feed Baker's Fondant all year round and some people give white sugar that's just been dampened.I am new to this only got my first hive on Sunday but there wasn't a lot of activity with the bees today so I put 1kg of sugar with 1pint of water in a feeder on top of the crown board please tell me is that correct
If you're hoping for 1:1 solution it would be a kilo of sugar to a litre of water, or a pound of sugar to 16 fluid ounces of water.
A pint is 20 fluid ounces, so would need 20 ounces of sugar.
A kilo weighs 2.2lbs, which is a little over 35 ounces
2:1 is twice as much sugar as liquid. 2 kilo:1 litre or 1lb:8fl oz water
