Winter set up super full of thymol treated syrup and ivy honey, super left over brood box which was dummied down and insulated to 7 frames
First inspection today
Super was largely untouched though there was a small patch of brood on centre frame
Brood box was pretty well cleared out of stores though some remained on outside frame
Brood was visible on 4/5 frames, both larvae and capped also some drone brood, didn't delay to check for eggs, just taking it that queen is present(unmarked so not seen)
Removed insulation and dummies added new undrawn foundation
Both hives The same
Should I offer them a light syrup feed to help with the drawing of the new frames?
Should I remove 4 outer frames from the super and give them new foundation so as to go brood and a half later?
Thanks
