Hello, I have just looked in my hive for the first time this year and i am sad. There was quite alot of honey but some of it was black or mouldy maybe. this was towards the centre of the hive the honey towards the outside was good. There was no queen, no worker brood, there was however drone brood.
there were not many bees either. maybe 1 side of a frame of worker and the same of drones. There was a queen cell that was been fed while we were looking at it but by the time this hatches (if it does hatch) it will be too late. Should i consider this hive doomed or is there anything i can do?
thank in advance if anyone has any advice.
