Just a question from me...
How long this time of year to fully draw a super of foundation and fill it? Mine are about 2 weeks where I am.... I'm sure some can beat that....

There is no rule to that. One apiary can draw 2 boxes foundations and fill them with capped honey

3 miles away hives are not able to draw all foundations. IT tells that pasture is not good. Perhaps too dry soil, same, cliffs, corn fields inside a mile.

When flow is good, it is good to give brood or super foundations and renew combs.

seen it done in less than a week

One of my colonies has been filling just under 1.5 supers per week in this current warm weather, they have 11 SN4 frames in each standard national super, the bees are totally filling all the supers and the average weight is 23lb and they could not fit another drop of honey in them, how do you get 35/40lb of honey in the supers ? ... do you use less than eleven frames in your supers to reduce the amount of wasted bee space in between frames..

You put the drawn frames in a ten or nine space castellated box
Then you get more honey as they deepen the cells.
I find mine too fat to uncap but all my supers are drawn on Hoffman spacing then put in 10

I do exactly the same. Thanks for this Erica. Your response, and, indeed Millet's question address exactly what I was speculating about, above.

Just now finished extracting 2 fully filled national supers, left a fair number of half capped sorted into boxes for them to finish.

2 supers for a total of 46lb extracted weight in 11 frame boxes.
