Field Beans

Evening, Local farmer asked if I'm interested to move some hives ready for Field Bean crop. worthwhile??

Yes I would did not have any on beans last year but year before I left some in place after the rape and had another box or 2.

I got a field of beans across the road from one apiary around 12 acres it's at early stage of growth be interesting to see the yield

be verry careful with aphid sprays

They used to be a staple honey crop when we were paid for going on them

My last site in the East Mids had FB as part of the rotation. Honestly can't say I ever got anything from them but although the farm had a massive spraying operation (some crops getting 17 in total) I can't say there was any adverse effect on the bees.
