Hi, which is the best way to clean an old, second hand Honey Extractor ? thanks Terry.

Stand outside, warm day.

Hose it out.

Then warm water and washing up liquid.. swill it out and use a brush.
Then soda crystals and warm water and brush.

Then really stubborn/grotty bits with Chrome Cleaner - Autosol - abrasive and not cheap so use with care..

Pressure washer..........or take it for a shower

Try and find "Astonish", it really is amazing on stainless, and more edible than Autosol

B&M Bargains sell it £1.49 ... incredible stuff for getting rid of mildew but it makes your eyes water and if you read the blurb about what surfaces it can be used on you are just about limited to Ceramic tiles and Stainless steel ... and definitely wear rubber gloves as it's vile on the skin.

Hot, strong solution of washing soda and a sponge/abrasive dishwashing pad plus effort. On completion rinse and steep with baby feeder sterilising solution then drain. You may need to do some dismantling to gain access to all parts. Also watch out for sharp edges on some models.
