Encouraging bees to draw comb

Melbee - swarms aside. This is another great way and not commonly known.
When you take off supers at end of season - give a box of foundation and feed your bees a feed of syrup. You have a large work force and this coupled with foundation and syrup they will draw it out beautifully. Store properly and have it for next year. Hope this helps.

That is very bad idea.
No yield and you put bees to draw combs for winter.

Every hive draw combs when they need them.


You have in Britain long summer and surely hives have proper time to draw combs.
