Thanks Tom.

I'm in Teddington to give her lots of cuddles as my Mum died (she was ill but it was unexpected) yesterday and they were very close.
She's driving up tomorrow with the set crammed in her little car and her only one day off in a month will be to get down for the funeral :(

Good to be back here though. I sat up in the gloaming watching the swifts screech through the darkening sky last night. Bloomin' wonderful birds! Did you know they never touch the ground and from fledging to first mating at maybe two/three years old they spend their entire time in the air.
Never mind the "Cockney Sparrow" the Swift reminds me of London.

EricA,

So sorry to her of the death of your mother yesterday.

It doesn't matter that it is a normal part of life, and we half expect it, the death of a parent is usually very painful. Something changes forever; many things lost; many more can never be done or said.

It's going to be a difficult time for you, the next few weeks - with this loss, then moving house and your daughter spreading her wings.

Take time to look after yourself.

Dusty
