My bees are collecting lots of a dusky pink pollen - anyone got any ideas what it may be?:thanks:

Horse chestnut pollen is a brick red colour, and where I live it finished a few weeks ago. My bees bring in this dusky pink pollen every year and I have never worked out what it is, I have asked other beeks around here and they don't know either. I think it must be a wild flower pollen as I get it in all my apiaries. I did wonder if it could be something like campion which is every where, but I have never seen the bees on it.

Can you take a sample to someone with a microscope?

Might be an idea to take a sample anyway, and save it for when you have the opportunity to have someone look at it.
