Does sugar syrup keep?

I’ve got quite a bit of 2:1 mix left over from last season. I’ve given it a sniff and seems ok…does it usually keep alright or will it have fermented and need chucking?

it's sugar, so will last forever as long as there's not too much water in it, so 2:1 should be fine.

I had a gallon of plain unadulterated 2:1 sugar surup once that I'd left in the shed and forgotten about, I think it was there for a couple of years and still was fine.

If true 2:1 and not weaker should be fine.

I've found 2:1 has kept for me, but I now add Hive Alive to most of the syrup I make up which also helps to keep it.

I haven't tried making that yet, but must try to source the ingredients and give it a go.
