Mouse Excluders: Absolutely… Bee storage shed has row of Nucs 8 feet to left and row of hives 8 ft to right ... Common-or-Garden traps: 43 mice and one Rattus to date (3 weeks) ... most recent racked and stacked for cremation today. So possibly advantageous to have the excluders…
Point of daily visit a good one as have had to dispatch a few trapped but alive … horrible. Sounds hypocritical in context but put it down to age; the ‘ease’ of killing fails… When Gardai (Police) at permit renewals asked if we used the firearms, we replied ‘Nah not so much, only at people at the gate as the facility to kill/hunt animals fades as one grows older.’ They nodded sagely ..
