Do you Destroy Queencups/Play Cups?

After a discussion with some beek friends I am curious, during inspections do people routinely remove empty Queen Cups or do people leave them in?

Not as a matter of course but if I need to to it to see inside them I sometimes will with play cups.

Yes - only so I have a baseline (i.e. so I know that all the cups I encounter on the next inspection are new, and a current reflection of the colony mood/behaviour) - not for any other clever reason.

Play cups is so that every hive makes playcups even if they do not swam.

Playcups means nothing about swarming fever.

I took a steer from Stewart at Norfolk H C who checks and squishes them as he goes. If it’s good practice for him, it is for me.

There's play cups and play cups as far as I'm concerned. They mean nothing. Really? I know when I need to be a bit more vigilant.
