Two Questions.

On my last inspection a couple of days ago i spotted one drone with no wings, all the other bees where spot on and healthy and angry as hell.
Is it normal to spot the odd deformed drone.?

I also spotted one sealed Queen cell in the middle of a frame on the top brood box of the double brood and around another 3 smaller charged Queen cells, could the queen not be spreading enough pheromone in the double brood boxes which is why the bees are angry and maybe preparing for supersedure, the 2015 Queen is still running around in there, well she was 2 days ago even with a sealed Queen cell and brood in all stages, there is more than enough space for her to lay.
Could it still be swarm preparation or Supersedure..?
Thanks
Steve.

Up date, i was back there three day's ago and my little plan that i did not mention did not work. well half of it did not work.

There was around 5/6 frames of brood in all stages and egg's in both brood boxes on the double brood hive, so i put the Q+ side with queen cells on a new stand 3ft away in case of supercedure, the other Q- box with BIAS was placed on the original stand in the hope they would make a Queen cell from the eggs and young brood for insurance.
When i opened the Queen + side she is laying like mad that much in fact she was laying a egg while running across the frame that was already full of fresh laid eggs, however they where down to one small sealed Queen cell, i decided to remove that frame with the Queen cell on it and give it to the Q- it also had BIAS on it, they have plenty of forage and store.
So my question is did i do wrong or will the Q- side work or is it a case of yet another unite, or is it how long is apiece of string.
Thank you.
Steve.

So you split the boxes nine days ago and went back three days ago and you have a queen laying well in one
In the other you have put in a queen cell but they haven't drawn any emergency cells ........or have I got it all wrong?

Well at least you have a laying queen in one box. She may not be suiting the bees in her box if they have made a queen cell or their swarm urge hasn't gone away.
The Q- box - did it have young larvae at the time you split the boxes and were there attempts to make emergency queen cells?

That is about right Erica.

Yes John the Q- side had eggs and young brood but they failed to make a Queen cell so i give them the one out of the Q+ box.
