I have been unable to remove some frames of honey for 5 weeks (hospital op) and many have rape honey set in the comb. Its what I expected to happen and have tried placing them in a warming cabinet at 35c but that didn't work. Am thinking of using them as food stores in the autumn and hopefully they will be cleaned out by the bees, presumably they wouldn't store if they were unable to use. They eat fondant and set rape is not that much different.
Does anyone have experience of feeding rape thats set in comb back to the bees, do they consume it?
