yeh a bit like these nutters talking about ley lines and being able to divine water

Call me cynical but looking out the window and the seaweed hanging by the back door does for me :icon_204-2:
This morning I could tell it is raining here without getting out of bed.... the cat came in soaked....
From the little I understand about weather forecasting up to 3 days is fine, but as there are lots of micro-climates around it makes exact accuracy for your precise location difficult. But overall I have to say that the accuracy of daily weather forecasts is excellent.
Over 3 days and all weather models wobble.

I rely on the weather forecast for my business and your wet cat would be more reliable than the one around here! :biggrinjester:

All I can say is it lifts my heart to see Long Tailed ****, Goldcrests, and Wrens in my garden this morning. :)

We’ve had a Snipe and a few Redwings in the garden this cold snap. The thrushes have made a trail of hundreds of snail shells all the way up the bridle path to our field. There must be lots more hibernating in the banking. We’ve seen lots of Greenfinches this winter which is great news and for the first time ever Bramblings. Today we saw our first Bumblebee this year :)

All three are lovely little birds but the song on them little wrens is something else for such a small bird, they nest in the coal shed every year and it is funny watching the chicks learning how to fly with there stumpy little tail feathers.

We have a wonderful selection of birds, during the snow there was a flock of nine Goldfinches in the Rowan and Bullfinches today. I also noticed Collared Doves are nesting in our Bay.
It's just those three tiny species deserved a special mention. :)
How do they do it ??!!

Agreed, a Wren's call is something else.

Always a lovely sight - **** in cold weather.

They're all over my nuts but didn't want to know the hemp I put out for them!

We put dried mealworms in seed feeders they seem to like that above everything else. The robins, Blackbirds, Thrushes & redwings mop up what spills onto the ground.

The sunflower hearts are favoured by all the finches nuthatch & long-tailed ****.

Just hope they pay me back by taking the aphids, slugs & snails later on?

+ may have some interesting seedlings under one feeder later on in the year??:sifone:

My ma in law grew a pretty little plant in a pot that she found growing under her feeder. Lavishedwith tlc til her granddaughter ( a plod) told her what it was :D
