To Whom??

Further more to my research I have found out that this clover is our native species and would be the best white clover to grow
Cheers mark

Why you ask from me, when you know?

Our white clover seeds come from Canada and from Sweden. Farmers buy them.

Your recommended white cloves seeds are from UK, Ireland and from Holland.

Been doing some research and it looks like I will be going for the smaller flowering white clover,But may try a couple of other types just as an experiment.I will have to clear and plough a patch as we no longer graze our fields Just top them once a year. I also plan to plant other wild flowers just to increase the diversity of what is already there. There is already a good patch of Rosebay Willow Herb,Foxgloves and Cowslips. The ground is free draining and has a stream around two sides so a mixture of enviroments.
Any suggestions of what else I can plant?

Very sad when you have to start pointless nit picking at someone trying to learn beekeeping and also trying to help folk at the same time.

:sorry:
Pot and kettle!

Meadow sweet, no nectar but the bees love the pollen, thistle if you do not mind controlling it, Cotoneaster on the hedges good for bees and birds once established, Red snow berries also on the hedges the bees and wasps love the flowers (i have attached a picture Pink Small Bell flowers) , i could ramble on but these few that folk may not encounter attract a lot of attention with honey bees.

Do you plan to plant near your stream? Willow and hazel spring to mind for spring pollen . For your field fireweed , Thistles, field scabious ,dandelions of course there's loads really..

Grammar has gone to the dogs in this country.
We maybe dealing with new beeks, but on the whole they are native Ingulish speakers.
It went out of fashion.
We are trying to teach it in school again now, but the government want us to fit so much else into the curriculum that it is a strain.
With the apostrophe, the best rule really, is, "If in doubt, leave it out!"
On topic, I thought honey bees went for red clover more than the white.

I am illiterate with mathes and English and it boils my brain when someone brings spelling mistakes up, i get frustrated in my own head to the point of head aches without anyone pointing the obvious out.

Just deal with the topic in hand and offer advice instead of trying to belittle folk with pointless digs a there spelling, i do not have a clue with .. there/they and their but i try and if you ask me to add something up i am knackered, however ask me a question on wildlife and you may get a different response.
Peace out people. HM ;)

Ooh, chilli beans!
I made a general observation, seeing as how it was brought up by some one else.
If you have a recognised condition then you have my full understanding.
If you are a failure of the current education system, then you have my utmost sympathy.
If you can't be bothered to learn about your native language, then we are all lost! :D
I haven't belittled anyone, I gave you advice on the apostrophe. ;)
Red clover is best. ;)

Pompous grass in the garden use to be an indication that the residents were swingers.

Well I think this is about as :offtopic: as possible, in fact I challenge anyone to get a more off-topic thread starting from Clover / Bees to Grass / Swingers*!?*!*!??*

PS: I've read very quickly back through the thread to try and find how we got on the topic of pompus grass ... and err stuff, but I can't seem to figure it out???? I hate being confused, although it does happen often.
Out of curiosity what inspired you to share with us that little nugget?
PPS: Please don't reply if it's not suitable before the 9 o'clock watershed, please don't, there are some thoughts I just don't want inside my head !

Wrong way round...the florets on red are too deep...bumble bee territory.
White is still tricky, Carniolans IIRC are best as longer proboscis than mongrels and Italians...size does matter.
