I have some round 4L rapid feeders on the hives that the bees have more or less finished with but are still half full with syrup and a small amount of bees still in the upside down cup..i would usually just leave them on till the weather cools a lot more and when the bees have moved down to cluster..however i am short of two feeders and i could do with getting them of ASAP as i have two colonies on contact feeders that do not last two minutes..any ideas how to clear them without spilling sugar syrup everywhere and drowning/chilling bees outside the hive..
Cheers
Steve.

Why clear? just move them with the few remaining bees inside...little damage will be done.

You Sir are a Genius and thank you yet again..doing such is not a problem as both hives needing the feeders are two feet apart from the hives with the feeders..;)
