I simply have too many bees for my back garden, and need to get my apiary sorted out before I go on holiday in a few weeks.
So I have a National hive of bees available, was laid up end to end last Thursday. I removed two frames of capped brood and replaced with empty comb. Queen mated May 2014, marked and clipped.
They got unhappy with me when I opened them up when it was almost dark one evening, but on Thursday the Bee Inspector and I went through every frame in the boiling heat and neither of us got stung. Needless to say they are disease free.
I am looking for £100 for the wooden floor, broodbox, crownboard and roof. And the bees of course. Take it home with the bees inside or simply swap me like for like kit wise (varroa floor, broodbox, Crown board, roof and 11 made up Hoffman frames with foundation) and take the bees for free.
Will accept Payn*s polygear in good condition as well.
The hive is 4 years old but in very reasonable condition.
Many thanks.
