That's not as clear cut as you might think.
when was it ever :)
...
But back to the original question. Poly is an advantage but not a magic bullet in itself.
So that would say its a combination of environment and genetics...

I dont think I 've seen chalkbrood in 5 years we have had the PIR hives ... but that proves nothing.

No, but, last spring was very cold and wet. These are the conditions that you'd expect chalkbrood to occur.

I don't under stand your question ANDURIL
The use of canesten came about after a discussion with a chemist.
The thoughts were that as it is in use world wide and has been shown to be a very safe product to use how would chalkbrood react to it.
results so far are mixed though in my case very successful.
Hoping to get more people to try it to prove it one way or the other.

Are you nuts?
As ITLD has already highlighted, you'd be in a world of hurt if anything like this found its way into a food product. Even using a non-approved treatment would be a problem. I'm amazed that a pharmacist would even suggest such a thing. This has got to be a troll!

It's use is external and not for internal use therefore unsafe.

Is it just me or has this poster have an eerily similar posting style / attitude to a banned person from a month or 2 back.

There's a few of us that think that !! Banned pemanently twice under different names if I recall correctly - seems to have got away with it ... some do !

clover is one of the best anti fungal herbs on the planet, turmeric is the best

I don't have chalkbrood it has bee eradicated. Canesten I think did the trick. Further trials are needed.
I am off to New Zealand for three weeks fly fishing today, on my return honey will be taken and sent off to the lab for testing.
As I am in a Tea Tree area They will also be looking for the active ingrediant for Manuka Honey

I thought the same, how long does it take a prison ship to reach Van Diemans land??
For those not familiar with English history, (Finnie) the lower classes could be transported to a penal colony for stealing a rabbit from the landlord. The ruling class had a particular aversion to people of Celtic origin. ( Irish, Scots, Welsh and CORNISH too) especially if they spoke in a strange tongue.
