Hi

I've just started with my Bee's and am still getting used to them and trying to figure out of things are ok.

I did an inspection of my hive today (stung twice). The weather wasn't perfect as it was overcast with some wind but it's going to rain tomorrow and then I'm at work so I have no other time.

Not sure 100% why but I've found some burrowing into wax on a frame:

I read online that this sometimes happens and it's either them trying to add ventilation or simply making shortcuts to other frames.

1) Is what I read correct or is there something going wrong or about to go wrong that I need to try to correct?

2) Is there a way that I can stop them doing this as it seems like a waste of foundation?

Thanks!

That link was great, also clarified the differences between frame sizing definitions.
