BS Nuc Boxes

Has anyone experience of the BS Honey Bee nucs? They are marketed as higher density poly, with a thicker roof, the feeder looks good and the nuc can be split and used to house two colonies of bees if required. It is priced about the same as the competition, but appears further developed.
I am looking to buy a couple of empty nucs and wondered if anyone has purchased this product and how it compares to the competition.

I like them, I have Maisemore poly nucs and they are both cross compatible so you can use the maisie brood boxes or the 14x12 eke etc on the B.S nucs.

I like the silicone plug that allows you to feed fondant in the feeder without removing it. Masimore recently redeveloped their roofs and made them a bit thicker and made a large cavity for fondant however that means opening up the hive.

The B.S are slightly more expensive than the maisemore especially compared to the sales where the maise nuc goes for about £24.50 IIRC. If you can't wait for a maisie sale then they are definitely worth the extra few quid.

Bought a set last season - like them for Queen rearing. However, there has been a modification where the Plastic divider (fragile enough) has been replaced by a steel one and one may purchase a full see through CB or two (x 1/2) to facilitate the split usage. Nice wee product but ensure to-date package.

Thanks Spike Dog, I will ask the vendor if the metal divider is in their version of the nuc.

Really like them, especially the silicone plug and double entrances.

I like to use the rear entrance for vaping.

I have 30 of them!

Would never buy the maisies over them. Completely inferior product even with the recent modifications.

Anyone else noticed Maisies prices have gone through the roof the last 12 months.
