Black Bees in Cavity

Went to Donegal for the long weekend and was greeted at the hostel with a mass of honey bees squeezing through a hole beside a flue into the cavity of the building. There were in the upper part of the flue see below (if it works). Their behaviour shouted honey bee, although i thought when i first seen them that they were blue bottles they were so black.

Exterminator was booked the owner had 3 beekeepers trying to get them out in different manors.

As we were leaving they were still flying in 11ºC and rain.
