I would second that from boxwood.
Grease patties (eg. Veg lard + corn oil + sugar + honey to taste + essential oil (fo mites) sound like a good idea now the weather is cooling. Seem to be very effective for mite control, with methyl salicylate or other essential oil. But if it is an american habit is it anathema?

Anyone use these?
