I have had a similar problem

Here is another. The bees in the garden were moved out after one got me - OK I had a varnish brush in my hand and ignored the initial warning buzz, zappp! closed eye.

They were already on their way because they were following me up the garden - not far, but any is too much. Got another sting when one bee got me 10m from the hive when I was not doing anything with them. Both gone the following morning.

These were bees which did not sting me once last year. Always the risk they superceded later last year when inspections were not as regular. Certainly not inspected after the end of September and I don't look for supercedure specifically, anyway.

The replacement bees have been no bother since. Back to bashing me as they fly in/out as I pass close by, but they just sort themselves out and continue on their way.

They are leaving anyway, now. Even though J has not been stung in the garden, or house, for the whole duration I have had bees in the garden (c 9 years).

Bees flying CAP = Combat Air Patrol

Got to admit that doing an inspection once or twice in the back garden I did think - "airborne" "incoming" on more than one or two occasions as I exited into the privet hedge...... but things are much more relaxed now.... more like a gentle glider

Mine have been in the garden for 5/6 yrs and would hate to have to move them, thankfully I've haven't had any trouble with them or neighbours.
