so your thoughts on how to move bees that have started to build comb on a trunk of a tree 6 comb.
i was thinking on putting a wooden box over the top hoping they would build into it, or scrap into a hive and move.this is about 20ft up the trunk

Normal 'cut out' only 'cut off' in this case. Just be careful, working at height.

Marvellous job for a bantam scaffold tower or equivalent. I bought one years ago and although only used rarely it's a godsend when needed.
