I need to purchase some local bees and have found a local supplier, but the nuc will be on Dadant brood frames (435 x 300) and I have Langstroth frames (448 x 232). So what is the easiest way to move bees and brood onto my frames. I could modify a Langstroth brood box to take the 6 Dadant frames and 4 Langstroth frames and sort everything out later.Has anybody a better idea.Thanks.

Why not get a board same size as Lang and cut a hole the size of nuc. Then put Lang BB on top, when bees move up swap nuc to top with Q/E between

I personally would run the larger Dadant frames, depending on how prolific your queen will be, she will need a large brood box, save running two Langstroth brood boxes.

Frenchie, what did you end up doing? I'm looking to get bees in Normandy next year as well and am also running same size Langstroth.

I managed to find a company who would supply bees on langstroth frames. If you want the address pm me and I'll give you all the details.

The board will work for any transfer. Makes it not an issue. ;)

Oh and plus some patience. :)
