I've just come back from Krakow and they had the most delicious honey flavoured beer. Any one got any favourites/recommendations in England for honey flavoured beer/ale?

Blimey. The most obvious is "waggledance" (Charles Wells). It's quite sweet, and I must admit I prefer beer to be bitter.

Fullers does one called "honey dew" which I prefer.

Enville Ales in South Staffs used to keep bees years back and use the honey in recipes. I think the standard Enville Ale contains honey (I like that one). They have a very waspish looking bee as a symbol.

Brakspears has a bumble bee as a symbol, and Oxford Gold tastes faintly of honey. I like that.

I think Boddingtons also has a bee decal on the can, no idea if it's honey based or not, it just tastes synthetic.

Thanks Doc.

"Queen Bee" from Slaters in Staffs. is also great. It was my lunchtime indulgence at The Old Fox opposite the Birmingham Hippodrome for several years.

My favourite is "Lavender Honey" from Wolf Brewery in Norfolk. Sounds a bit girly and sweet but it isn't.
