Indeed, and if I was voting I would take that seriously. If i recall correctly at least one of the of Bucks associations was disaffiliated from the BBKA for some years, maybe 10 or more years ago?

I did have brief scan of the reports. One of the remarks was that a reason for a current shortfall in income was that membership numbers were under "budget", that is they had counted on an increase which didn't happen. The response is to increase subscription rates; that's a dangerous strategy for long term viability.

BBKA Enterprise appears to be a money pit with a net losses:
2012 £13156
2013 £12503

Costs

My point of view for what its worth is as follows:-

Both Bee Craft and BBKA magazine seem to run similiar articles so why have both ? also the union I beling to have stopped sending out diaries due to the mega amount spent on postage. I would be happy with a bi monthly magazine but do prefer paper to PC as I have trouble reading my PC in the bath. ( The only quiet room in the house )

think the losses are due to buying stock , However from the 2012 filed accounts its net value is £213 that does not give me confidence it will make the proposed profit in ,2014

Stock valuation fell from 20,634 in 2012 to 12,404 in 2013.

Gross profits were 11,403 from turnover of 23,791 in 2012 down to 5,797 from turnover of 19,047 in 2013. Assets less current liabilities was 213 but fell to minus 12,290 in 2013.

A commercial view would be to close it up and walk away.
