As a serious woody I use chainsaws, clearing saws, brush cutters etc a lot. I always use 'Aspen' which is an eco friendly fuel that does not degrade like petrol. I will not gum up carbs etc. I believe it is made from wood resins and is available in both 2 and 4 stroke versions. It is more expensive than petrol but at least you can be sure it is not giving off the fumes that are associated with petrol.
Also you will not get the same level of problems with a carb diaphram degrading that you do with petrol.
You need to run the machine dry of petrol fuel and simply refill with Aspen. No more problems with leaving fuel in the machines over winter.
