For anyone building their own hives there is brand new aluminium sheet which works out at £2-£3 /hive available from a coach building company in Banbridge Northern Ireland. I have no connection to the company but thought some members might be interested.

2m x 1m x 0.8mm £12 (will make 3 national and 3 nuc roofs)
3m x 1.5m x1mm £30 (will make 10 national roofs)
Other sizes also available.
Not as cheap as the reclaimed caravan material but nice to work with new sheets for a change; the sheets are easily cut and bent and have removable plastic covering on one side. I got 3 sheets of the 0.8mm and it is great 2 work with and fitted in the back of estate car; collection and payment straightforward.
They also have sites in Huddersfield and Glasgow but I don't know if they are doing the same deal there.
