helleo everybody.
i m new member on this forum.im a beekeeper in morrocco.i love bees so much.the problem here in morrocco is that the beekeeping is still based on old metyhods.i tried to rise some queens by grafting but it was hard and many larves are touched or inaccepted by bees.i tried to have the nicot system or the kerl jenter kit.but in vain. i tried to buy it from e bay.but our country does not support paypal bank.i tried to reach it here in morroco.it wasn t available .so please. if any body wants to help me to get that systm .or having an idea .let a msg to me.and if anybody needs something available here in morrooco .he have to write to me.i swear to god that i will send it first then .u send me what i need .
this is the only way to proof.what i say .choose any thing available here in morrooco i will send it .

i'm sure someone must be able to help. i presume at the very worst you could get hold of euros to send by mail? alternatively (and safer) do you have local access to money transfer services such as western union?

re. like for like exchnage - i'm sure many on here would be able to think of a suitable moroccan speciality that they'd like but probably best not to arrange import/export on an open forum!!!!!

BTW what is the beekeeping calendar like in morocco? ie when is your best time to raise queens?

Hi Hicham.
Did you use a grafting tool to move 1 day old grubs, in to what?
It is possible to make Queen cell cups by dipping a round ended stick in to melted bees wax a few times to get it thick enough. They can then be glued on to a frame with more melted wax.
If a grub is then grafted in to these the bees will make Queen cells.
I hope i describe it OK.
Perhaps you need a grafting tool. I had good results (14 Queens from 20 grafts) last year. This year however, so many things went wrong.
It's trial and error. ---Keep trying!!

it's perfectly possible to produce queens in ok numbers without grafting.

there are many reasons why grafts won't be accepted by the bees.

can you give some details about what you tried and about the hive you put the grafts into.

i don't know if they have access to parker knolls in morocco (or tea of a type suitable for imbibing by the bucket load)!!!!

u can t imagine how big is my hapiness to receive from all.big thanks.one of u asked me to hold money from members in forum.thank b4 all.but i have said .that the problem isn t the money the problem is that the nicot system or the jenter kit is not available here. so if any one from u can buy it to me i can send him his price .i will send first to win ur trust..an other friend asked me about the tile where we rise queens .the best tile is between mars and mai.
dear melber yesterday i tried to open a payapl account .with my czrd bank to get that system.thez told me we accept international visa card.i have just a locally card.
in the end.thank for ur precious time dear member.if i didn t get the jenter kit .its not a probleme because i m sure that i got ur attention .and without any doubt ur experience.

You are being told that you DO NOT NEED a fancy system to raise good queens.

The most important thing in queen rearing is to get your larvae accepted as queens by the bees.

The 2nd most important is to offer very young larvae preferably 12 hours old or so.

The best way I have found is to have a small box, a nuc, with lots of young bees in it. By lots I mean LOTS, and have them well fed, knowing that they are queenless and with access to pollen.
