Hi there,

A large bug alerted my security camera yester, I was wondering if it was an Asian or European Hornet. Could anyone possible help me to determine what it actually is please?

I can't seem to link the images to my Imgur account as I need 10 posts is there any way around this?

Thank you
Olly

I thought it was a European but, it doesn't seem to appear yellow anywhere. But also doest appear black. Mostly orange so I'm confused. Worried if it's Asian as I've just moved into this new build house and attempted to plant lots of bees friendly plants/flowers.

European hornets eat bees too.

It's rather like red squirrels they raid nests the same as the grreys but we don't publicise it.

Our own hornets are quite rare you shouldn't try to get rid of them, maybe get better pics/see where they live?
