Asian Hornet - a natural trap for them?

I used to have a large collection of carnivorous plants hence my log on name.. You will never control hornets with Sarracenias and they will trap bees, wasps etc.. You need to make sure you are growing them in Sphagnum peat mix, even better in live Sphagnum moss.. The only Sarracenia which is hardy enough for the UK is S purpurea which is established in the Lake District.. I agree that Darlingtonia californica is a hardier carnivorous plant for growing outside in the UK

No, we didn't imagine it would, not unless there's a whole forest of them - or whatever a large group of Sarracenias would be called. We'd just like to get one or two to grow for more than a year. If we can manage to overwinter bees, we should be able to manage a tricky plant.

What do you think of the pheromone attractant though, used in a trap perhaps?
