It's a bit dull without him...

I met a couple from Finland last week whilst tending my apiary, they said they doubted bees produced much honey in Finland, and I was able to correct them thanks to Finny.

I read that he often takes a 'sabbatical' from the forum and then returns... How long does it take for him to comeback? Surely he has run out of vodka by now?

His knowledge of bees may well be great but there are others on here who know just about as much and I know for a fact that some of the other stuff he writes is just at best incomplete and at worst just plain wrong.

I really don't see that there's any need to be a drama-queen and start a thread based on a threat to leave, just because some members have replied in the same boisterous style adopted by the complainee himself.

I was under the impression that there was a kind of 'community spirit' on this forum, where the use of the collective pronoun "we", rather than "you" would have been rather more appropriate.

But maybe I'm wrong. Pity.

Just to clarify - the usual suspects are the posters who feel it essential to attack almost anything Finman says when it doesn't fall within the confines of their personal expectations. As I said if there's nothing good to say best not say it. The extended series of abuse swapping posts might then be avoided.
