Artificial Swarm the wrong way

Went to do a Artificial Swarm today.
Moved the hive (left) and placed a new hive with foundation in old place(right).
But could I find the Queen!!!! NO!!!!
2 hours I looked for and even tryed shaking the bees thought a Q/E on top of the supers I moved to one side.
But still could not find her.
Yes there were eggs in the hive.
So just ended up putting the hive back together and leaving 1 Q/C in the right hive.

I did the this last year as I could not find her.
The hive did not build up well and dead in spring.

Good news, I put my 4th super on.

Very impressed with the 4th super. Most of mine are just being annoying and filling the brood boxes with stores as if they are getting ready to swarm!!

i have decided to split my lot this year and for go the honey and next year when i have an outlet for it sorted again i will have 6 hives going. so i know what its like to look for her and not to find her, i let my newbee look for her the other day could not find her because i was folding her on the cover board, should have told her but i was to busy trying not to laugh

As the bees are builting up fast this year, you still should be get some honey.
My main flow starts in June for me.
This flow seems to be a bonus for me.
