Apiguard?

My bees seem agitated and bearding at entrance with apiguard on. is this normal? I used bayvarol last year and don't recall them bearding and agitated.

Yes, being a paste the bees seem more affected somehow - I had the issues last year using Apiguard and had one treatment left (in date) so used that on one and Bayvarol on the other 4...one bearding 4 not...

Mine are bearding during Apiguard treatment, usually round 7-8pm ish, but by morning everything back to normal. It's because the hive has no proper ventilation during treatment ( it may get a bit stuffy) and they don't really like the stuff.
