We had 12 eyebrow thrushes in the garden yeaterday

Common or rare?

Hard to tell on internet
sighting one in the UK would be an occasion to call the press but twelve!? Redwings or mountain thrushes (fieldfares) probably

Yup

These had thrush style streaks in chest whereas eyebrow thrushes don’t seem to…redwings I think as clear eyebrow, streaks down chest and a pinkish wing

Over the winter we always get an assortment of thrushes Blackbirds Common Thrush ,Mistle Thrush and Field fares all on the windfall Brambly apples in the garden once the spring comes most will have moved on.

Redwings are fairly common/expected in the winter, though numbers are dwindling, but to have 12 in your garden is a treat. We often get them on our Cotoneaster tree, competing with the local blackbirds for the berries. They'll be returning to Scandinavia in a few weeks. Good name 'eyebrow thrush.' :)
