Ants swarmed here yesterday (Norfolk) which is normally a prelude to wasps starting to sweet feed (proper). Not related events but a useful heads up as wasp nests mature shortly after ants nests do.

Our ants swarmed two weeks ago. :sunning:

They were swarming here yesterday

two weeks ago here

The ants swarmed here about 2 weeks ago and it was am amazing sight - every ants' nest in our garden and, by the looks of things the whole street, swarmed at the same time.

What followed was just as amazing - gulls came from miles around and the sky was full of land and sea birds joining in on the feast about 30 metres up in the air. The noise from the birds was tremendous, like something out of Hitchcock's "The Birds".
