Ants have swarmed our way which is usually a heads up that wasps will enter the sweet feeding phase of their lifecycle if they haven't done so already. Good time to check on anti-wasp measures in particular the state and type of entrances to the hive.
 
They're already attacking in a big way here. Had to move a couple of nucs last night. More measures needed.
 
Our ants went two days ago. A classic day for late bee swarms! How doall the ants nest know to swarm on the same day? The air was full of them. Where are the swallows..... None this year!
