but keeping your bees in a field away from people makes beekeeping much less stressfull in my opinion

That would worry me even more with issues of vandalism/theft!
I'm moving bees to our allotment in the spring, we have the good fortune to have a plot in the middle of the site surrounded by high steel fences and facing the railway line so a lot more secure than our garden. It's a one year trial, and not being able to drive I'm quite glad to get somewhere that's a short walk away.

I only have one neighbour at the moment on my plot and she is delighted that I am putting bees in. If I get any honey I will donate some her way!

On this subject. I can basically divide the plot into thirds. The most quiet and remote is mostly shaded and a bit damp underfoot. No overhanging trees but hedges to the south and west. And a bit of shade from a neighbouring tree.

It gets more sun the closer to other plots and a path you go. If I put the bees in the middle section and garden either side am I causing myself problems?

This site surrounded on three sides. Get it right first time and you will have no complaints. My biggest problem with this site one or two raised eyebrows as they asked me to bring an observation hive and sell some honey at the open day and I walked away with about £270. I did however give them four jars for the cake table.
