On that subject where do you find these cheap?

My association gets loads of plastic buckets (size of a normal bucket) with lids which were full of burger relish. No good for storing honey in as the honey would get the taste of gherkin even after cleaning.

However they are great for transporting syrup, tools, frames, brace comb or any thing else for that matter.

Cost ............totally free.

Got to love the association.

We went into the winter with 5 hives and a nuc we made up ourself`s & all have survived ,this being our first year we are really chuffed with ourself`s .

Most farmers have spare ones that they will give you, they get feed, etc in them.
