Advice Needed With Regard To Ants

But the ants are only there to rob the honey, aren't they? So they only might cause a problem if they built a nest?

In my case I think they're after the remaining traces of fondant following the late spring feeds. Never seen any in a super, has anyone else?

Hmmmmm, if they are they can't get much from the wrong side of the CB.

It always appears to me to be nice place for certain species of ants to lay their eggs, rather like those that use a hollow in a tree.
