You need to be more precise.

Not 100% sure what 'it' was, but if 'it' was referring to a Warre, it is not at all 'exactly'. No foundation, no frames; only top bars and starter strips in the Warre system.

warre system, 'invented' about a hundred yrs ago? if it is such a successful method of keeping bees, why ain't many folk doing it? LOL

I read one report where they had been running Warres for about 6 years and had hardly had any crop, and most of the colonies had expired. I think I may have it bookmarked somewhere. They were attempting a 'natural' hands off approach, or something like that!
