A busy start to the world of bees

Hi All

Its been a bit more hectic than I expected.
Obtained my first nuc colony in May. They exceeded expectations; built up numbers really well and gave a super of honey.
But my swarm prevention failed (I was away at a crucial time and missed some new QCs) and the newly emerged queen swarmed (old queen and bees were already moved to a second hive). Retrieved the swarm from my apple tree into a nuc. So now have 3 colonies !

Sounds familiar. I had the same in my first year only mine had to be broken out of the kitchen roof not retrieved from a tree.

Not made those mistakes again ......yet.
