My first thought or observation is that you are not going to observe a great deal with a view of the outside of the outermost frame.

I was thinking along the lines of trapping the queen on the first frame??? with a QE seperating the rest??

mmmm good point could knock up a housing to accomodate 1 x frame to fit fit on the roof ???

Would'nt use drawing pins to hold the mesh down. They come loose in transmit as I found to my cost. Car full of Bees etc. Industrial staple gun alot better.

Also to prevent to much movement in transit possibly use castellated spacers.

Some ob hive considerations.

Queens love the dark. Give them two combs horizontally and guess where they may be found? Yes, in between the combs in the dark.

A good demo ob has one brood comb and one super comb and needs a lot of attention to keep it in balance.
