With sunshine and temperatures up to 24/25C next week in the South West, I’m considering leaving the last few supers on in the hope of offsetting a rather dismal summer honey crop. Opinions, risks/potential benefits? Over to the collective wisdom of the Forum…

For planning purposes, how many hives would an acre of lavender support?

I don’t mark or clip my queens - it’s a personal preference. Today on a routine inspection of one of the hives, I found a 2019 (green marked) Queen. Had a good look, but couldn’t find another. Any suggestions/ideas how she got there?
