Move of Apiary..

Long story short. I'm having to move one of my apiaries about 800m tomorrow and have closed all hives down earlier this evening. Hives are poly 14x12s with mesh floors. Weather for the next 3 days is light rain, breezy and mild.

Question: how long should I leave them closed up before opening (in order to minimise numbers returning to the old location)?

Timed just right then if weather for you has been like it has here. So cold that they have not flown for a couple of weeks, and forecast to be so mild today that they will not be in cluster. I agree with JBM in that case.
