I tend to put part capped frames above crown board for 24 hours. The bees will rob out the uncapped honey/nectar first.

I have one, I'll try and measure this am. It is stainless. I bought it 2nd hand a couple of years ago, it broke after a couple of supers. It was a friction drive which wore out, made a pair of pulleys instead. Beware.

Thornes do an extension which converts bs deeps to 14x12. Or cut down spare frames and attach with a plastic hoffman converter.

With OSR honey speed is of the essence. Left in the cool of a bee free super it can set very quickly. I don't use smoke in supers, shake off most of the bees and brush off last few.
