Woodworm treatment

Hi,
I've been given a hive that needs treating for woodworm, The BBKA site recomends a Cuprinol product, but Cuprinol's site says they've changed their formulation and cannot recomend its use on bee hives.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

I dont want to sound harsh, but buy another hive, or at least buy/replace the parts with woodworm. If it has woodworm problems now, the hive is not going to get any better, its on its way out, other things will start to go wrong with it. Murphys law say it will go wrong just when you realy realy dont need it too.

boron is the co mans choice for wood worm, avalible as a powder that you mix with water and apply or stick it in the freezer for a few days or ttreat with cuprinol inside and out then paint it inside and out to seal the chemicals inside it
