Can anyone advise me which preservative is ok to use on my hives. Some of the parts e.g. ekes are home made from pine. Thanks

I use teak wood preservative. I'm sure you could use what ever you like as long as its well dried . I prefer water based products. Cheers mark.

I know its not the topic but I've put copper tape round my new floor to stop the slugs this year as there on the move.
